“Best Wedding Pre-Ceremony” Winner

The Pittsburgh Professional Videographer’s Association had their first annual 2008 Videographer Awards in which several local association members submitted various production works in various categories.

The judges were unbiased non-association members who watched each entry and awarded various points for different aspects of the videos such as style, production quality, entertainment value and more.

That evening, Willow Productions won two awards in the contest. The first being the “Best Wedding Pre-Ceremony” and the second being “Best Television Commercial” for Mama Lucias Pizzaria.

NOW Hires Willow Productions

NOW which stands for Natalie’s Original Workout hires Willow Productions to create a new workout video DVD.

Shot in the NOW studio, the DVD covers 4 different aspects of aerobics training and uses high energy, yet simple aerobics techniques that provide maximum effectiveness.

New DVD Authoring System

Willow Productions is now using a new DVD Authoring system to produce their Pittsburgh PA wedding video and corporate DVDs. They were previously using Ulead’s DVD Workshop, but have now upgraded to Adobe Encore CS4.

“The upgade has given us a lot more creative flexibility for creating menus and chapter points.” say’s Willow Production’s owner Loretta Martin. “Our turn around time has also decreased since our editing system, Adobe Premiere, integrates seamlessly with Encore”.

The new DVD authoring system allows motion (or video) backgrounds or static backgrounds created in Adobe Photoshop. There is also the flexibility to customize the chapter highlight icons.

Adobe Encore also has the ability to work with and burn high definition Blu-Ray DVDs which is the next step for Willow Productions and their wedding videos. “We already have the cameras for high definition”, continues Loretta, “and now we can edit and author in high definition too.”

Northwood Realty “Quick Start” Training

Willow Productions will be videotaping the Northwood Realty Services “Quick Start” training program. This 4 week project includes 12 different training classes that help new real estate agents jump start their careers. The training covers everything from creating a business plan to following up with past customers.

Once completed, the training DVDs will be available to all of the Northwood offices as well as uploaded to Youtube for online viewing.

Heathy Performance Projects

Willow Productions recently finished a project for Healthy Performance which promoted healthy living through exercise, proper nutrition, and vitamin supplements.

Healthy Performance was founded by Dr. Bridget Chufo to meet the nutritional and weight loss needs of her clients. Dr. Chufo brings over 25 years of expertise in the weight loss industry and has a strong passion to help individuals with their weight loss and nutrition goals.

The project included 5 DVDs, each covering different aspects of their products.

Willow Productions is currently working on an audio CD project which provides motivation and support from others who were successful with the Healthy Performance weight loss program.
